The 1891 Census shows the following family members living at 8 Albany Road, Worcester -
Thomas Maddox-Head, aged 32, Fireman.
Sarah A Maddox-Wife, aged 33.
Susan May Maddox-Daughter, aged 6.
Sarah Ann Maddox-Daughter, aged 4.
Mary Ethel Maddox-Daughter, aged 3.


The 1901 Census shows the following family members living at 41 Fairfield Street, kidderminster-
Thomas Maddox-Head, aged 41, Foreman Railway Engine Driver.
Sarah A Maddox-Wife, aged 42.
Susan May Maddox-Daughter, aged 15, Draper's Assistant.
Sarah Ann Maddox-Daughter, aged 14.
Mary Ethel Maddox-Daughter, aged 12.
James D Ratty-Lodger, aged 26, Railway Engine Driver. This could be the other individual shown in the photo below.

They had the following Children-

The following information sent by a living relative of Thomas Maddox:-
Thomas Maddox was a fairly interesting guy. He was a born and bred railwayman and I luckily do have a photo of him with his engine,(see below) though I do not know where it was taken. He took his family to the USA to seek his fortune and was an engine driver in Pennsylvania. He, however, was a religious man and could not abide the rough, blaspheming men he had to work with and they returned home. His old cabin trunk used to be in our home when I was a boy. He apparently suffered with bad legs which he blamed on the years stood in front of the firebox. I think he became station master at Worcester. His daughter Susie May, my grandmother, was a delightful lady but she died when I was only 4 or 5 years old.
