John (Jack) was born on 19th March 1877 at 47 Fleet Street, Longton.
Married at St. Peters Church, Stoke. (Photo) on the 19th September 1910 to Elizabeth Edwards.
Elizabeth was born on 1st January 1889 at 49. Nile Street Burslem, the daughter of John Edwards
and Elizabeth ( nee Jackson ) they both lived at 51 Ashworth Street, Mount Pleasant,
Fenton and had 3 children. (see below) John worked as a Potters Printer.
Elizabeth died at 40 May Place aged 43 on 11th April 1932 and was buried in Longton Cemetry.
John then remarried on 3rd August1939 at Stoke-on-Trent Register Office to, Edith Hassall
Born 19th July 1898. of 18. Albert Street Burslem.
John died on 26th October 1965 aged 88 at 40 May Place and was buried in Longton Cemetry.
Edith died about 2yrs later and was buried in Longton Cemetry.
The name "Whalley" was his mothers maiden name and the name "Sutherland" was
his grandmothers maiden name.
