John (Jack) Amison was born in 1892 in Edensor Passage, Longton, Staffordshire.
He died in 1944. John was baptized on 7 Feb 1892 in Edensor, Staffordshire.
John married Ellen (Nellie) Hand on the 7th December 1914 in Stoke-on-Trent. Ellen was born in 1886.
She died on 28 Aug 1958 in 49 Alma St, Fenton, Staffordshire. She was buried at
Carmountside Cemetery & Crematorium, Leek Road, Milton, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.
We have recently (14/10/2011) found evidence that John served in the first world war, He signed up for the duration
of the war at the age of 23 and living at 36 Well Street, (Renamed-Welby Street) Fenton.
Regiment Name: 19th Welsh Army Bantam Battalion, this regiment was made up of soldiers
